Salcombe Community Gospel Choir raised over £1,800 for the Church on Saturday evening in a fantastic concert. Led by Caroline Evans and Frances French the choir began nine years ago as a small group meeting in the vicarage. With new songs to their repertoire, including some Negro spirituals, the sixty strong choir rocked the church in a wonderful evening enjoyed by all. The church was packed and we ran out of chairs!

Father Daniel commented at the end of the evening that this choir had, over the years, brought so much happiness to the community and that this musical evening was so very appropriate to Pentecost-eve.

A guest appearance was given to Ed Hill, a member of St Peter's Foundation who sang two songs before the intermission accompanied by Malborough parishioner, Jane Brannan.

Many thanks to all those involved!
